Review and Giveaway: "Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders" Edited by Judith Durant.

“crats,
" Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders " is a knitting/crochet book with 101 patterns that go way beyond socks. This book is amazing in form of ideas, projects included in it. This book will tempt to you to knit all the projects be it a child's sweater, a shawl or scarf for special event , bags to tote, Fingerless gloves to snuggly to keep coffee warm and if that's not enough , check out socks, baby clothes, lampshades, ornaments, laptop and eyeglass cover's and many more. This book has variety and fantastic ideas to work on. I haven't tried any projects however will do 1 soon once I am finished with one's I am working on.
There are some fantastic, some simple and some tempting projects everything in one book. I think this is a great buy especially for knitter's/crocheter's of any level as there is something that everyone can work on.

Pros: A book with great collection of patterns from easy and simple to advanced and classy.
Cons: I haven't tried any project however have read the book and no issues
Overall: Good Book.

I love working with sock yarn but not so much knitting socks - they are fun to knit but I hate how quickly they wear out so I don't wear them. I love the idea of something other than socks to knit with sock yarn. I love to knit shawlettes with sock yarn and I think there are some hat patterns in this book that I would like to try (tho I haven't seen it, just pics of the hats on blogs). trhfox at gmail dot com

I haven't picked up knitting needles since I was about 11, and would love to make time for projects like these! Fingerless gloves would have been a blessing this week. It was so cold here I'd have been wearing them at the keyboard! Those would be #1 on my to-do list, definitely. Thanks for the chance to win! :)

I knit and crochet. I have taken out the "101-Designer One-Skein Wonders" and "101 One-Skein Wonders" from the library and made several gifts from them because they are packed full of quick rewarding projects that make great gifts for men, women, kids and babies! The last one I made was the Ice Scraper Mitt for my brother. I did not know Judith Durant had another one in the series with sock yarn patterns, so I would be thrilled if I won it! There are always so many things I want to make with such a large collection of patterns in one place, but I think I would settle on the baby-size kimono because a good friend at work is expecting her second child and I always knit or crochet something for my co-workers who have a new baby...it's a tradition for me! Thanks for the chance to win this great book!

I would likely do the fingerless gloves (my youngest daughter has a thing for them) or one of the baby items (I knit for charity and I have some yarn that I'm just looking for a good project for). Thanks for the giveaway!
