Review: Little Green Dresses By Tina Sparkles

When I travel back home i.e India I get lot of dresses for myself mostly mad

e and designed beautifully. Recently, I checked couple of my dresses and they were not fitting me and I was so damn upset. I was not sure what I should be doing with them as the fabric used are very beautiful and I hate throwing anything. Well, I guess now I know what I should be doing with them and thanks to "Little Green Dresses" by Tina Sparkles.
This book is completely based on DIY and Green  theory which I love the most. She talks about each project in detail explaining what and how you can put them to use. the book covers on pattern drafting which I think is a great plus for people who love sewing but dont know how to draft patterns. The patterns are very well explained and accompanied by diagrams wherever needed. The patterns are very easy yet you can achieve a very modern looking outfit's in no time. Little Green Dresses is a great book with 50 Original Patterns for Repurposed Dresses, Tops, Skirts and More.
About the Author: Acutting -edge designer, Tina Sparkles is a former host of the show styleilicious on the DIY Network. Her work has been features in many publication, including Women's Wea Daily, Elle Girl. Readymade, JANE, Nylon and The Wall Street Journal. She hosts regular fashion and craft events, teaching sewing classes and holds workshops. Tina lives in Austin Texas.

Pros: Great Buy for all the tips, techniques and Inspiration.
Cons:  I have to admit not all dresses can be worn by everyone atleast I can't.
Overall: Great Book

I love the IDEA of sewing, the execution is... a little elusive.

Sounds like a good, interesting book and I should definitely check it out. I myself get a lot of my dresses made for me as I love certain kinds and my seamstress knows exactly what I want. It is much more worth it for me.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marie
