Bella Skill builder Quilt along

Hello there, wanted to update on another great quilt along that startd using bella solids by fatquartershop...Bella Skill Builder

if you haven't seen it go and have a look. As much as I would love to participate wont be able to manage 2 quilt alongs , home and teaching all at once. The quilt is gorgeous and hope this year I can finish it somehow..just need to work around managing time well. Here is a quick peak at the design of quilt. How beautiful are these all colors, I want one :)

Layer Cake Pop Quilt-along!!

New year and new quilt-along great way to start the year, isn"t it ?. At-least for me, I wanted to start on one so I can work and finish some quilts by year end rather then trying to finish gifts all at the last minute.

Fatquartershop has a great quilt-along starting today called Layer Cake Pop. I love the fabric and design of this quilt . The quilt kit is available at fatquartershop and if you wish to use your fabric from stash no issue the pattern is free and it works up quick at-least I finished cutting some blocks. I will be posting the pics by weekend however in the mean time go ahead and check out some great projects of blocks and finished quilts here.

Also, they have some amazing quilt-along lined up so keep checking fatquartershop and join in to have some fun and quilt along the way.

Sew Sampler Box review!

Lately, I was asked by few if I had a subscription for a Sew Sampler Box by FatquarterShop and I hadn't. So out of curiosity and to reply to my fellow quilters what's in that box I decided to check it out and do a review of the same. So, let's see what's included in the box that you receive. They say a picture speaks for itself...so let's open the box.

Your goodies are packed beautifully in a gift wrap paper.

As soon as you open it...it's heaven.

Your goodies will be different in each box every month..the July box had fat eights of Dixie fabric by Cluck Cluck Sew and a pattern designed specifically to go along with it.

There was Olfa rotary cutter, sewline pencil, a block pattern, sticker and oh a cute needle fabric case is included too.

Isn't this all amazing for $24.99 plus shipping. I just loved the box and only can imagine what awesome goodies will be waiting for next month. So, if you haven't enrolled till now as you weren't sure what's included now you do. Go ahead and subscribe for it, I am sure you will love it.

FQS - Hope Blooms Quilt

Thank you for stopping by again for the Fatquartershop Top 10 video event.

As, I had mentioned yesterday I will be posting the Hope Blooms quit my or rather our version. I taught a beginner to make this quilt. We took 2 days 1st day we went by the video tutorial and pattern and had all our pieces ready to sew next day and then we stitched and assembled the next day. We made quilt using the scraps as it was her 1st time and she was worried she may not be able to do a good job however I think she did a fab job. We just need to do binding etc....overall I am happy with the result and her effort to learn.

Sorr, not a great picture as it was so dull day here today however tomorrow morning I will try to snap some day time picture and post it on Instagram and Fb page.

Panda-monium Mini quilt!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by on my blog here. Today, I want to share the new Fatquarter shop block..it's actually a mini quilt called Panda-monium.

I am still working on my block and once done probably in a day will post it here.

He is the most adorable panda I have seen. There is a kit available for this mini quilt if you wish to buy with all the color fabrics as shown by Kimberly in the video.

FQS exclusive aurifil box review and update.

I have been really busy lately for couple of reason....my projects for Christmas charity, my health and my little one who just turned one always keeps me busy..having said that that is not the reason why I shouldn't be blogging at least once a month which I had initially planned.

I am working on some of the shortcut series quilts for fatquartershop and I am super thrilled to share them all by November end. I rcently received 2 fb bundles from windhan one which is new print Allison of cluck cluck sew and available everywhere while the other will be available in January called tidal lace....wait till you see the quilts. I made them as Christmas present and used pattern from fatquartshop's new book.

I had also received the piecing and binding box from fatquartershop. I must say they are so neat as makes binding and piecing so much easier as all are colors which you would generally need for binding or piecing and so just having that box is so much easier then searching or matching thread.

I have provided the details for the box below just incase if you want to check out and have some Christmas present wish list you may want to add it 😉.

I will blog about my finished quilt sometime in November or December hopefully with the awesome fabric and patterns and of course used will be the aurifil thread box available exclusive at fatquartershop for binding and piecing.
